NAMI Basics is a peer-directed education program developed specifically for parents and other family caregivers of children and adolescents who have either been diagnosed with serious mental illness/serious emotional disturbance or are experiencing symptoms but have not yet been diagnosed.
Class Schedule: March 2nd (6 pm-9 pm), March 7th (6 pm-9 pm), March 9th (6 pm-9 pm), March 11th (9 am-3 pm), and March 14th (6 pm-9 pm)
NAMI Ending the Silence: Familiesis a 1-hour presentation for adults with middle or high school-aged youth that includes warning signs, facts and statistics, how to talk with your child and how to work with school staff. Additionally, the presentation includes personal testimony from a young adult living with a mental health condition about their journey to recovery.
